A two-feet long crocodile was found from a bathroom of a house in a housing colony at Vadodara in Gujarat, which was released in the Vishwamitri river in the west Indian Gujarat state on Monday (Oct 17), forest officials said.

The crocodile was found on Saturday (Oct 15) in a housing society on Dabhoi road in Pratapnagar locality. It was released in the river on Monday, Vadodara Range Forest Officer (RFO) G Chauhan said.

Nidhi Patel, an 11th grade student, spotted the crocodile, while it was on its way to the house and alerted her neighbour as she was alone, he said. As the crocodile has entered the bathroom, Nidhi closed its door. She also closed her house and raised an alarm.  A youth, who was passing by, informed fire brigade of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation, said the officer.
