On January 9, 2017 a five-day unique programme to stimulate engagement in science will begin in India. NineNobel Laureates will take part in conference, lectures, roundtables and other meetingstogether with experts and students from several universities. “Nobel Prize Series is one of the pillars of our global outreach and aims at raising engagement in science, literature and peace in line with Alfred Nobel’s vision. We engage millions of people around the world, combining these meetingevents anda daily contact through the digital channels of the Nobel Prize.”
The inauguration of the exhibition The Nobel Prize: Ideas Changing the World in the presence of honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 9 January will kickoff Nobel Prize Series. The exhibition will be displayed at Science City in Ahmedabad for a period of one month. Visitors will be guided through the story of the Nobel Prize, its founder, Alfred Nobel, the Nobel Laureates, and how Nobel Prize-awarded efforts have shaped and continue to change our world.
